Little Wonders Portraiture is a division of Recollection Road Photography located in Kingwood Texas, serving the greater Houston area, and specializing in newborn portraiture. At Little Wonders Portraiture our goal is to provide you and your family with portraits that evoke emotion and memories giving you years of enjoyment. Every session with us is carefully planned around your likes and aims to provide you with heirloom art to match your decor.
We want your time with us to be a wonderful, relaxing experience. Sheila, the main photographer, has had extensive training in newborn safety from immunizing herself to posing of your precious little one. Your comfort, confidence, and satisfaction with our studio is extremely important. Newborn Photography in Houston: Your Questions Answered
How old should my baby be for newborn photos?
The ideal time is when your baby is 7 to 14 days old, and the earlier the better. In those first two weeks newborns are sleepy and flexible, which allows for the curled-up, dreamy poses you see in our newborn gallery.
Is 4 weeks too late for newborn photos?
Not at all. Sheila photographs newborns up to 4 weeks old. Older newborns tend to be more awake and less flexible, so poses vary more, and swaddled portraits and sweet personality shots are always part of the session.
When should I book my newborn session?
We recommend booking during your second trimester. We reserve your due date on the calendar, and once your baby arrives, simply call, text or email and we will set your session date within the ideal window.
How long does a newborn session take?
A full newborn session takes up to 3 hours. That leaves time for feeding, changing and soothing your baby between setups, so the session never feels rushed.
How much does newborn photography cost?
A $100 booking retainer holds your session date, and every package includes a print release for your images. You can find complete package details on our newborn photography pricing page.

Silly faces, and big smiles can’t be beat! Chalkboards will be available to be held by children for various things. Sessions include a 10 minute session (3 kids max), 5 digital files in black and white, online gallery and print release. Session cost $100 with a $50 deposit due at booking and the remaining $50 due session day.
