Little Wonders Studio
As much as I had cried over becoming an empty nester it did open a new opportunity in the Meade household…..my Little Wonders studio. With the marriage of my son and the graduation of my daughter from Baylor University things were very quiet in the upper portion of my house. No game room noise, no slamming doors, no life:( I couldn’t bare to go up there… AND my craft room is up there! I felt I would eventually get over it but it made me sad to travel those stairs to the emptiness. My husband had always said when we didn’t have to pay Baylor anymore we were kick starting our empty nestiness by getting a lake house. YEAH, Right! It must be crazy talk. But in the deep depressed recesses of my mind I pondered… a lakehouse? I could move all that gameroom stuff upstairs to a lake house. I could possibly have a studio space…..dare I dream? It’s not fathomable. My daughter graduated May 16, 2015 and we signed papers on a new lake house on May 15, 2015. A day ahead of the hubby’s schedule. My very own studio space began to take form. Woohoo!!!! It’s now been over a year and I have already photographed several little ones in the new space upstairs. With a lot of trial and error and further experimentation I think I finally have it arranged the way I want.
My Little Wonders Studio is both functional for me as the photographer and comfortable for my clients allowing for productive and relaxing sessions. I am set up to accommodate most every need you have allowing you to sit back and relax and not fret over things forgotten. We have a fully equipped bathroom right off to the left so you never have to step away too far from your session allowing you to never miss a smile. We’ve had many a client use the bathtub even to hose off those smash cake remnants of their little one year olds. There’s a big mirror for soon to be mommies to touch up their makeup for those special baby bump maternity sessions.
From the sitting area you are able to watch and even assist every moment of your little ones session. And even more importantly little ones can see you:) Even older children will not be bored if attending the new babies newborn session and are never far from you either. The door next to the large canvas happens to be my grand-babies play room. A mess….buy hey…it’s a play room.
I’ve put together a warm, comfortable and inviting atmosphere and have even been told it’s like right off of pinterest. It’s well stocked with snacks, drinks, diapers, wipes, and props for your sessions. I want my clients to fully relax and enjoy every moment of their experience with me as their photographer. Come visit me and allow me to share my Little Wonders studio with you if only for a spell. Upstairs is full of life once again!
